Managing Vendors

Here you will find all the controls you need to manage the vendors at your market.

Adding vendors

Adding vendors is one of the important steps in running a market using Tulpie. Vendors mean money.

Adding a new vendor is as simple as clicking the "Add Vendor" button on the top of the screen. Clicking this button will show a popup that will ask for some information regarding the vendor you are adding. The fields in the popup are explained below:

Field NameField Description
Vendor NameThis is the name of the vendor. This can be whatever you want to call the vendor like a persons name or a business name.
Vendor EmailThis is the main email of the vendor, it will be registered as a vendor account that can be used to access the Vendor Dashboard and the automatic onboarding email will be sent to this address as well, more on that later.
Contribution PercentageThis is the percentage amount of commission that the market takes from the vendor. If this is set to, for example, 10, then the market profit for a vendor will be 10% of their revenue.
Vendor IDThis is something short to identify the vendor. This ID will be added to all labels to identify vendor products. You can make this anything you want, or leave it as the auto generated value. If you do change it, just make it short.

After you have filled out all fields, you can click on "Save". Thats it! The email address of that vendor will now be able to log in to the vendor dashboard and start preparing for your market.

Onboarding emails

note

Emails to vendors are always sent automatically when vendors are registered or email addresses are added to vendor profiles.

These automatic emails are sent to vendors and gives them basic instructions on how to label their products and that they can log in on the vendor dashboard to prepare their products and labels.

Changing Vendor Settings

If you are on the vendor management page, a list of vendors will be shown if there are registered vendors. Editing a vendor is as simple as clicking on the arrow on the right side of the list.

This will give you access to the vendor settings. You can also add more users who can access a vendor if you need that. Changing the email is as simple as adding a new one and removing the old one.

This page also gives a list of products the vendor registered.

note

Due to the nature of the system, vendor IDs are not changeable.

Deleting a vendor

Deletion of vendors can also be done on this page, by clicking the red "Delete" button.
